Millions of women all over the world are obsessed with fashion and love looking for the latest trends, updating their wardrobe with new womens clothing and trying out fresh styles. If this sounds like you, then you’ll already know that the internet is a fantastic resource if you’re looking for ideas and tips.

But have you ever thought about the wealth of beauty resources available on the web? Chances are that if you love fashion, you’ll also want to take care of yourself and will have an interest in makeup, the latest hairstyles and generally looking after your skin. If you’re yet to stumble upon your go-to beauty destination then here are a few websites and blogs to get you started.

Lisa Eldridge

Lisa Eldridge is a makeup artist with over 20 years’ worth of experience in the industry. She is highly regarded and the list of celebrities she has worked with goes on, and on, and on. Top names include Cameron Diaz, Cheryl Cole, Kate Moss, Keira Knightly, Katy Perry… in fact it’s easier to list who she hasn’t worked with. She is also creative director of cosmetics brand No.7 and was the beauty expert on Channel 4 show Ten Years Younger.

Her website is an absolute goldmine if you love beauty and it is packed with tips and product information. Her blog is regularly updated with posts about new products and projects she has been working on, while there is a gallery with loads of beautiful images.

However, the real star of the show is the videos page. Lisa regularly records videos showing you how to do everything from dazzling party looks to everyday makeup and perfecting your skincare routine. The videos are addictive and if you’re unsure about any aspect of your makeup and beauty regime, this is the place to look.

Vogue

We all know Vogue is great for the latest fashion advice and hottest trends, but it’s also a fantastic destination for beauty. The page is a mix of celebrity hair and makeup galleries, how-to guides, health and wellbeing tips, shopping advice and features about new products.

The celebrity galleries are particularly good and include lots of large pictures on which you can zoom in and get close-up looks of the stars’ hair and makeup while following their style evolution over the years.

YouTube

Everyone has heard of YouTube and it’s the go-to place on the web for all kinds of videos. As well as film clips, music videos, product reviews and lots of hilarious recordings, it’s also a great place to find beauty tips and advice.

Millions of people upload videos of themselves trying out new products or showing you how to perfect your makeup, while big-name brands have their own channel on which they promote what they have to sell. Whether you’re trying to perfect the application of your bronzer or learn how to plait your hair, there’ll be a YouTube video to help you, just like this Missguided tutorial on applying false lashes.

Fleur de Force

fleur

Fleur de Force is a fantastic beauty blog run by a 24-year old who claims to have an “unhealthy appetite for cosmetics”. The blog is simple and to-the-point and it has loads of pictures, which is exactly what you want from a beauty blog. Fleur features products she has been sent to test, takes you through the pros and cons and posts photos of her trying them out so you can see how they look.

The great thing about this blog is that because it’s well established, she actually receives good, high end cosmetics to test, such as a tinted balm by Keyyn Aucoin, a pretty Mac lipgloss set and plenty of new perfumes. You’ll be rushing out to update your makeup bag before you know it.
